AI
A video popped up saying there is no such a thing as AI. this is partly correct, partly misses the important point. I write this quickly because i have to pee.
It is partly corrct that the siluation of meaning an intelligence is not meaning and intelligence. it is partly correct that just because something appears to be conscious or have thought, does not mean it does. thought and meaning are fully internal phenomena, they occur within an individual which has the principle of spontaineity within themselves. and this requires life, a soul, whatever you want to kall the animating principle that fuels all living entities, and allows for the inner space to integrate something within the development of a holistic web of meaning. [and all this, not to mention that actual human intelligence requires embodiment. no matter, hoy much they attempt to convince us that mindedness can be disembodies, from the skeptical philosophical propaganda to the fetischism of "information" and bad geo-gnostic theology]
Yet, on the other hand, this should not be a relief. it simply means that the controllers have two tasks at hand: not only create the simulation of intelligence, but furthermore DEGRADE actual living being's intelligence so that it is easier to simulate, and thus to convince us that such a thing as mechine consciousness is possible. it appears possible, because our own cognitive capacities have been so degraded that we cannot distinghish the pseudo-thought of a mind-raped human from the pesudo-thought of the souless machine.
on the "good" side, machine intelligence or consciousness is a practical impossibility.
on the bad side, its appearance can be taken for reality (and be, for all intents and purposes, "real" in the sense that it has causal efficacy within our world, which is the only reality the world-inverters care about) with the appropriate human-degradation measures taken
